Yandex Products — exporting products to Yandex search
Yandex Products (dashboard merchants.yandex.ru) is a free Yandex service that displays your store's products directly in search: in organic snippets, in the "Products" tab, in Images, in the "Popular Products" and "Store Prices" product blocks, as well as in the responses of the Alice voice assistant. In addition, the dashboard provides visibility analytics showing how your products are displayed in search.
Important: this is not a marketplace. No orders are placed within Yandex Products — when shoppers see your product in search results, they click through to your store's website and complete the order there. Do not confuse this service with Yandex Market (partner.market.yandex.ru, where sales and logistics take place) or Yandex Eats.
It connects on our platform as an extension in the App Store (admin.cenaly.ru/app-store) — the "Yandex Products" card. Once enabled, the platform automatically generates a YML feed of your location's catalog and updates it whenever product cards are edited, so all you have to do is paste the link to this feed into your Yandex dashboard.
The card is only displayed for accounts with locations in Russia and is unlocked on plans that include aggregator and marketplace integrations.
What You'll Need#
- A Yandex ID account (to log in to the Yandex Products cabinet).
- A published storefront website for your location on our platform — your customer-facing store website (your brand subdomain or custom domain; see "Appearance" and domains settings). This is where Yandex snippets will lead — see the location card for the exact storefront URL.
- A filled catalog: items must have names, prices, categories, and ideally photos and descriptions — without them, products rank significantly worse in search results.
- A business focused on retail in the Russian Federation (the service is designed for retail merchandise stores).
Step 1. Platform Connection and Feed Link#
- Open the App Store (
admin.cenaly.ru/app-store): integration cards are located in the general grid of the "Per account" tab along with the other extensions. - Find the "Yandex Products" card — easiest via search by name.
- Click "Configure": settings will open in a modal window right on top of the showcase without navigating away from the page.
- In the window header, select the location for which you are connecting the export.
- Click "Connect" — API keys are not required; the platform fetches the feed on its own. Then save the sync settings: what to export, which inventory to consider the stock source, stock buffer, and channel markup.
- After connecting, the platform will generate a public YML feed for this location and display the "YML Feed URL" block in the card, complete with a link and a copy button 📋 (clicking it shows "Copied"). Link format:
https://cdn.cenaly.ru/feeds/yandexgoods/{account-id}/{location-id}.yml - Copy the link using the button in the card rather than assembling it manually — you will need this link in Step 3.
The feed address on the Russian environment is currently being verified. For the
cenaly.rubrand, the feed file is stored in Russian storage, while the card and product links inside the feed might show the address of the neighboring environment (cdn.cenaly.ru,{store}.cenaly.ru). Before adding the feed to your Yandex account, open the copied link in a browser and make sure the file is served; if it does not open, contact support and do not substitute the address manually.
The feed is generated from the location's catalog and regenerated upon connection and when a product card changes — when an item is created or edited (name, price, stock in the card). The feed includes: item names, current prices (and old/strikethrough prices for discounts), currency, category tree, photos, descriptions, SKUs, barcodes, and links to product pages on the location's website. Prices account for channel pricing rules (channel markup), stock accounts for the inventory buffer; the feed currency is rubles, and selecting another in the connection interface is currently not possible.
You do not need to export the file manually. However, note that stock deduction through a sale and item deletion do not update the feed by themselves yet — they are reflected in it during the next edit of a product card.
Step 2. Registering the Website in the Yandex Merchant Portal#
- Log in to the merchants.yandex.ru portal using your Yandex ID.
- Add your store's website (the domain where the location's storefront is published).
- Verify website ownership. Yandex offers several methods: a meta tag on the home page, an HTML file in the site root, or a DNS record.
How to verify ownership on our platform:
- Custom domain (you manage its DNS) — use the "DNS record" method: add the record shown in the Yandex portal at your registrar/DNS provider. This is the most reliable approach because it does not depend on page markup.
- Platform subdomain (branded domains like
{store}.<brand-domain>) — currently, the platform does not allow inserting a custom verification meta tag or HTML file onto the customer-facing website, and you do not control the subdomain's DNS. In this case, contact support — we will assist with domain ownership verification for your location.
Check the current list of verification methods directly in the Yandex portal — the interface may change.
Step 3. Adding the feed#
- In your dashboard, open Products → Data Sources → Feeds.
- Click "Add" and select "Specify file URL".
- Fill in: the source name, sales regions, and the feed URL copied in step 1.
- Click "Add".
Yandex will queue the feed for review. It may take up to 5 business days. You can check the status on the "Feeds" tab.
What our feed provides (mandatory Yandex requirements are fully met):
- YML format (
yml_catalog→shop→offers), UTF-8 encoding; - mandatory offer fields (
offer):name,url,price,currencyId,categoryId; - recommended fields included —
picture(multiple photos),description(in CDATA),vendor,vendorCode,barcode,oldpricefor discounts; - the feed is regenerated when item cards are edited, so it typically does not expire (Yandex rejects feeds older than 10 days);
- up to 1,000 feeds per website — a limit set by Yandex itself.
What Yandex additionally recommends that we do not export yet: custom item characteristics (param), weight and dimensions, delivery terms at the offer level. Their absence does not prevent passing the review, but it reduces the completeness of the item card in search results.
Verification#
- On the "Feeds" tab, the source status should change to successful (verification passed).
- After indexing, products start appearing in Yandex search — in organic snippets, in the "Products" tab, in Images, and in product blocks. This does not happen instantly after the feed is approved.
- Visibility analytics are available in the dashboard — showing how your products are displayed.
What improves product display (recommended by Yandex):
- Schema.org structured data on product pages — our platform's storefront already provides this markup.
- An installed Yandex Metrica counter on the website.
- A "Buy in 1 click" button, as well as delivery and payment details.
- Completed photos and descriptions for products.

Frequently Asked Questions#
Is this the same as Yandex Market?#
No. Yandex Products displays your products in Yandex search for free, but sales and checkout take place on your website. Yandex Market is a standalone marketplace where ordering and logistics happen within Market itself.
Do I need to pay for Yandex Products?#
No, the Yandex service itself is free. There is also no separate purchase for the extension — it is unlocked on the plan that includes aggregator and marketplace integrations.
Do I need to manually upload or update the feed file?#
No. The platform generates the YML feed automatically and regenerates it whenever a product card is edited, so it never expires (Yandex rejects feeds older than 10 days). If an item is discontinued or inventory changed via sale only, open and save the card — this will refresh the export.
The feed has been "under review" for several days — is that normal?#
Yes, feed verification takes up to 5 business days. You can check the status on the "Feeds" tab in your dashboard.
Why was my feed rejected?#
A common reason is a mismatch between the feed data and the website (for example, the price in the feed does not match the price on the product page). Make sure your catalog is up to date and your storefront is published and accessible; once fixed, the feed will be resubmitted for review automatically.
How do I verify site ownership if I am using a platform subdomain?#
On a platform subdomain, you do not manage DNS, and the platform currently does not support inserting arbitrary verification meta tags — contact support, and we will help verify ownership. If you have your own domain, use the verification method via a DNS record in your Yandex dashboard.
Why do some of my products have low visibility?#
Products without photos and descriptions rank lower in search results. Fill out product cards with images and text — this directly affects visibility.
