Style the menu site: ready templates, visual editor, fonts, domain

Venue Website Builder

Every location has a public menu website on its own subdomain (your-domain.cenaly.ru). The Websites section lets you manage its address, publication status and — most importantly — its appearance, quickly and visually, with no coding.

Open: Admin Panel → Websites (under "Marketing", admin.cenaly.ru).

This is where you set the site's look. The menu content itself — categories, dishes, photos — is covered in QR Menu. Managing a network of locations is in Multi-location.

Sites overview#

The main screen shows cards for all your locations. For each you see:

  • the public address (domain.cenaly.ru) and status: published or disabled;
  • a mini preview of the appearance (accent color, background, font, corner style);
  • buttons: customize visually, configure website, Articles, Designer on site, open, copy link and QR codes; retail locations also get an entry into the Store Studio.

If you have more than ten sites, the cards switch to a compact list with search and pagination on their own.

A new site is not created here: it appears together with a new location — that is what the ⚙ gear in the section header points at, and the same place holds the public site languages (taken from the account-wide language pool).

The visual editor includes a gallery of ready-made styles — over a dozen thought-out looks (classic, dark, minimalist, themed). Each template sets coordinated colors, fonts and card layout. Pick a style and it applies instantly to your real menu in the live preview; from there you can fine-tune any detail.

Next to the gallery there is a second button — ✨ AI designer: describe the look you want in words and the appearance is assembled for you. The same pair of buttons is also present in the full website settings.

Visual editor#

The "Customize visually" button opens a WYSIWYG editor with a live preview (phone / desktop):

  • Appearance — accent color, background, font, corner style (sharp / rounded / pill), welcome text, plus per-element text colors for individual elements.
  • Menu layout — how dish cards are arranged: list, compact, 1 / 2 / 3 columns, wide card, poster.
  • Logo and cover — a square logo and a cover image.
  • Publication — a "site is published" toggle; when off, the public menu page is disabled.

Changes are shown immediately; you can save, discard or reset appearance to defaults. If you have unsaved edits, the system warns you before leaving.

Full website settings#

The "Configure website" button opens the extended WEB settings panel for the location (the same one as the "WEB Menu" tab under "Locations"), but right on this page — without navigating away. It contains:

  • the site's address and publication;
  • images — cover, logo, background and the site icon (favicon);
  • appearance and card layout — the same templates, ✨ AI designer and layout picker as in the visual editor;
  • maintenance mode — a placeholder for guests plus a server-side block on placing orders;
  • proactive messages — pop-ups and bars for site visitors (available to all verticals).

Designer on site#

The "Designer on site" button opens your live website with a floating AI-designer chat: authorization is handed over from the admin panel, so there is nothing to sign into separately. You describe in words what you want changed, and the edits are applied to the displayed site instantly and for you only — it is a draft of your session, while visitors keep seeing the published look. You can browse the site freely meanwhile (menu, catalog, blog, cards) without losing the conversation or the draft.

The "Apply" button publishes the current draft for all visitors through the normal publishing path, and leaving the mode brings back the published look.

For the home sections and the storefront chrome of a store, the designer on site is already the main editor: the older studio editors show a banner saying that full editing now lives in the designer on site and that the studio remains for compatibility.

Site icon (favicon)#

The favicon is the small icon a browser shows in the tab, in bookmarks, in history and next to your site in search results. It lives next to the logo and cover: Configure website → images block → "Site icon" tab.

Three modes:

  • Platform icon — the default, nothing to do;
  • Venue logo — reuses the square logo from the neighbouring tab (when one is uploaded);
  • Custom image — upload a separate square image (1:1, at least 128×128; PNG with a transparent background works best).

Right below the choice there is a mini preview of a browser tab with your icon and page title. After an upload the icon appears on the live site within a minute — the required sizes are generated automatically.

Domain and QR codes#

By default the site lives on the domain.cenaly.ru subdomain. Connecting your own domain is a separate option (see Subscription, the "Own site" add-on); for a detailed step-by-step guide, see Custom Domain. Printing and handing out QR codes for this site is in QR Codes & Devices.

FAQ#

Will a template overwrite my settings?#

A template sets a coordinated starting point (colors, fonts, layout), but after applying it you're free to edit any detail in the visual editor.

What shows in the preview if the menu isn't published yet?#

Sample demo dishes — so you can see the styling before publishing.

Can I hide the site temporarily?#

Yes, turn off the publication toggle — the public menu page becomes unavailable while your settings are kept.
