Product Features
Features are attributes of catalog products: size, color, material, volume, brand and any other properties. They help shoppers pick the right variant and help you structure the catalog and build filters and collections around them.
Open: Admin Panel → Product Features (admin.cenaly.ru/features).
This section belongs to the retail vertical.
Creating a feature#
Click "Add feature" and set:
- Name — e.g. "Color", "Size", "Material".
- Field type:
- Text — a free-form text value;
- Number — a numeric value, optionally with a unit (ml, g, cm);
- Select — pick one value from a defined list;
- Multi-select — pick several values.
For select types you add option values (e.g. for "Color" — red, blue, black), and an option can be given an image.
Features are then filled in on each product card, on the "Features" tab. The "Manage characteristics" link there opens the feature dictionary as a modal right inside the card — no need to leave for the section and lose unsaved edits. (The link navigates to the section only when the dictionary is unavailable to the employee by role.)
AI feature wizard#
The "AI Assistant" button opens the "AI Analysis — Suggested Features" dialog, which analyzes your catalog and suggests useful features you don't have yet — each with a note on why it's helpful. Check the ones you want (or select all) and add them in one click. It's a fast way not to miss important properties for your product type.

FAQ#
How is a feature different from a product variant?#
A feature describes a property (color, size); concrete product variants, filters and storefront collections are then built from those.
Do I have to use the AI wizard?#
No. You can create all features by hand; the AI wizard just suggests what's worth adding.
Can I show a value with a unit?#
Yes, for the number type you set a unit (ml, g, cm), and it's displayed together with the value.
