TikTok Product Feed — Catalog for Video Shopping Ads
The "TikTok Catalog" extension (as the card is named in the App Store) exports your store catalog to TikTok Catalog Manager (the Business Center / Ads Manager section, ads.tiktok.com). TikTok's catalog-based advertising runs on top of this catalog:
- Video Shopping Ads — video ads with attached products (product cards overlaid on the video);
- dynamic product ads — TikTok selects and displays relevant products from the catalog tailored to the audience;
- retargeting based on viewed products.
Checkout usually leads to your store's storefront website. The catalog is a product data source for TikTok advertising formats, not a standalone sales channel.
The extension operates on a feed model without API keys: the platform generates a public product feed in the Google Product Feed format (TikTok accepts this schema) and updates it whenever product cards change. You only need to provide the feed link in Catalog Manager once.
The card is available on the pricing plan with marketing tools (advertising and SEO) and is hidden if none of the account's locations are in a TikTok for Business market: the extension is unavailable in Russia, India, Afghanistan, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, and Syria.
Step 1. Connecting in Cenaly and Feed Link#
- Open the App Store (
admin.cenaly.ru/app-store): integration cards are located in the general grid of the "Per account" tab alongside other extensions. - Find the "TikTok Catalog" card — the fastest way is by searching by name.
- Click "Configure": settings will open in a modal window directly over the showcase without taking you away from the page.
- In the window header, select the location for which you are connecting the export.
- Click "Connect" — no need to enter API credentials; the feed model does not use keys.
- The card will display feed links in XML and CSV formats, with a copy button 📋 for each row (shows "Copied" after clicking). URL format:
https://cdn.cenaly.ru/feeds/tiktokfeed/{account-id}/{location-id}.xml(and.csv).
The label of the link block and the tooltip beneath them are currently shared across all product feeds and mention Yandex Products — this is an interface inaccuracy: the links themselves lead specifically to your TikTok feed.
The feed is assembled from the location catalog (retail mode) and regenerated upon connection and whenever a product card is modified — when a product is created or edited (name, price, stock in the card). Stock deductions from sales and product deletions do not trigger a feed update on their own for now — they will be included during the next card edit. Variations are exported as separate items with a shared item_group_id; prices account for discounts (sale_price) and channel pricing rules, while stock levels account for the inventory buffer.
Step 2. Adding the Feed to TikTok Catalog Manager#
- Log in to TikTok Ads Manager / Business Center (ads.tiktok.com).
- Open Catalog Manager (Assets → Catalogs → Catalog Manager).
- Create a catalog (specify region and currency) if you haven't created one yet.
- Inside the catalog, add products via Data source → Scheduled feed (URL upload).
- Paste the feed link from Step 1 (XML is recommended).
- Set the update frequency and save.
TikTok will download the feed and process the items; then the catalog undergoes review. Once successfully uploaded, the products can be used in Video Shopping campaigns.
TikTok interface items change periodically — look for Catalog Manager → catalog → data source with scheduled upload via URL.
Which Format to Choose: XML or CSV#
TikTok accepts both. XML is preferred for variations and multiple images; CSV is convenient for manually checking the content.

How TikTok Fetches the Feed#
TikTok downloads the feed automatically on a schedule from the specified URL. The recommended frequency is once a day. The platform regenerates the feed whenever a product item card is edited, so each scheduled download retrieves the data exactly as it was last saved in the catalog. There is no need to submit the feed manually.
Requirements and Common Issues#
- Working item links.
linkmust lead to an accessible item page — enable the web catalog (the location's showcase website). Item links in the feed are currently being verified: they are constructed from the location's showcase URL and are correct if the location has a custom domain set (a full address with a dot). Until this is resolved, TikTok may reject items for locations on a platform subdomain — verify the address in the downloaded feed before scheduling. - Photo is required. Without
image_link, the item is rejected; TikTok enforces image quality requirements.
- Currency and region. The feed currency and catalog region must match your TikTok account settings. There is currently no currency selection in the integration interface: the feed is exported in USD. If the TikTok catalog uses a different currency, this is also being checked — until resolved, the platform may reject items.
- Moderation. The catalog and product ads are subject to TikTok review; prohibited categories are rejected.
- Description and title. Fill in the texts — this affects both approval and video ad conversions.
- Data consistency. Price and availability in the feed must match the item page, otherwise ads are rejected.

Frequently Asked Questions#
Are orders placed within TikTok?#
Usually no — the customer goes to your store's storefront website and places the order there. TikTok Shop with in-app checkout is not available in all countries and is configured separately.
Does it cost extra?#
There is no separate purchase for the extension: it is included in a pricing plan with marketing tools and connected per location. Catalog Manager is free; you pay for ad impressions directly in TikTok Ads Manager.
Do I need to export the feed manually?#
No. The platform regenerates the feed whenever an item card is edited, and TikTok downloads it on a schedule. If an item is no longer sold or stock changed only via a sale, open and save the card — this will update the export.
Why were items rejected?#
Common reasons: missing or low-quality photo, prohibited category, or mismatch in price/availability between the feed and the page. Item links and feed currency are currently being verified — until resolved, TikTok may reject items for locations without their own custom domain or for catalogs not in USD (see "Requirements and Common Issues").
How are item variants exported?#
Each variant is exported as a separate item with a shared item_group_id so that TikTok groups them into a single product.
