🇵🇱 Poland: SIP providers and number connection

Where to get a number with a SIP trunk in Poland, which parameters providers issue and what to enter in the admin panel so the number rings in the PBX

Poland: SIP providers and connecting a number to the PBX

This page continues the general guide on connecting a provider's number to the PBX: that page covers everything that is the same for any operator — the two trunk modes, what to ask the provider, what to fill in the form, network requirements and how to test the connection. Here is the Polish specifics: who sells a number with a SIP trunk in the country, what that operator issues and what of it goes into Telephony → "Trunks and connections" → "Add provider".

The data was collected on 9 September 2026 from operator documentation and regulator (UKE) materials; the links are in the "Sources" section.

In brief#

  • You can buy a number with a SIP trunk in Poland, and this is the most "open" market we have described. Your business needs neither a licence nor a registration: the service is sold by an operator listed in the UKE register, and you are simply its subscriber.
  • Seven operators publish their server address and mode, and four have a guide written specifically for Asterisk. You can connect without calling a sales manager first: SuperVoIP, ACTIO, Spikon, FCN, PLFON, ipfon, HaloNet — all in registration (REGISTER) mode.
  • If no operator has been chosen yet, take SuperVoIP (publishes ports, codecs and network addresses, supports both REGISTER and IP auth) or ACTIO (public per-channel pricing, both landline and mobile numbers).
  • The main local pitfall is two passwords. The control-panel password and the SIP account password are different at Polish operators (FCN, SuperVoIP and Spikon warn about this explicitly) — this is the most frequent reason for "the credentials look right but there is no registration". The second pitfall is channels: SuperVoIP gives one outgoing channel by default, and at ACTIO the first channel is included in the price of the number.
  • Spoofing the number on outgoing calls is prohibited by law (the act on combating abuse in electronic communication, in force since 25.09.2023): operators are obliged to block or hide a forged calling number, and they do so technically. Put only your own numbers into "Show as".
  • Documents. The contract is signed with a Polish entity (NIP/KRS). A foreign company without a Polish registration will find it easier to get a +48 number from an international provider.

Numbers in the country#

  • Country code — +48. The national number is always 9 digits: two digits of the numbering zone (or of the mobile network range) plus seven subscriber digits. Polish numbering has no leading zero.
  • Landline (geographic). There are 49 zones, and some operators hold numbering in all of them. Sample codes: 22 Warsaw, 58 Tricity (Gdańsk, Gdynia, Sopot), 61 Poznań. A Warsaw number in E.164 looks like +48 22 123 45 67.
  • Mobile numbers are also 9 digits; operator contacts show the ranges 45, 50, 51, 53, 57, 60, 66, 69, 72, 73, 78, 79, 88, and the full list is defined by the table attached to the numbering plan.
  • Intelligent networks: 800… is free for the caller, 70… is premium rate. Some operators block calls to premium destinations by default and unblock them at the subscriber's request.
  • Emergency numbers are three digits: the pan-European 112, plus 997 (police), 998 (fire service), 999 (ambulance), 986 (municipal guard), 984 and 985 (river and mountain/sea rescue).

On the "Lines" tab the number may be entered in any format: the PBX compares the last seven digits. ⚠️ In Poland these are exactly the subscriber part without the zone code, so the Warsaw number 22 123 45 67 and the Poznań number 61 123 45 67 produce the same tail. As long as all of your numbers belong to one zone everything is fine; with numbers from different zones check the routing of each line manually — "Add a number and routing".

How numbers are dialled and in which format the operator delivers the number
Calling to How it is dialled in Poland
A landline in your own or any other city All 9 digits, with no trunk prefix and no zero: 22 123 45 67
A mobile The same 9 digits
Abroad 00 + country code (or +)
Emergency services 3 digits: 112, 997, 998, 999

There is no single country-wide rule for the format in which an operator puts your number into an incoming call: Spikon and SuperVoIP send 9 digits, HaloNet, ACTIO and Platan send 48 + 9 digits (E.164 without the "+"), and FCN in its basic setup sends the SIP login instead of the number. The PBX handles the first two formats identically; for the third see "The provider sends its login instead of the number".

Who issues a number with a SIP trunk#

Provider Which numbers Trunk for your own PBX Mode How to order
SuperVoIP landline, foreign yes, the "SIP trunk" service is enabled in the panel REGISTER or by IP online, self-service

DIDWW, Telnyx, Twilio, Plivo, Infobip, Sinch, Bandwidth, Zadarma Polish landline and mobile yes by IP or REGISTER online, with document checks

The first seven rows are the operators whose trunk parameters are publicly documented: their cards are below. The remaining local ones hand out the server address, login and password only after a contract — they have their own section.

SuperVoIP#

The operator with the most detailed public documentation in the country: it has a separate article about the platform's addresses, ports, codecs and protocols, and the "SIP trunk" service is enabled in the panel by yourself (Wirtualna Centrala → Usługi → Dodaj usługę → SIP trunk). With a single number you do not have to enable it at all — an ordinary SIP account is enough.

What to enter in the admin panel

Field Value
SIP host sip.supervoip.pl
Port 5060 (the operator also runs UDP 5090 and TCP 5061)
Transport UDP (TCP is supported as well)
Registration REGISTER — or clear the checkbox and switch on IP authorisation in the panel
Login the "konto SIP" from the Konta i numery section
Password "hasło SIP" — separate from the panel password

What to set up at the provider: buy a number → enable the SIP trunk service → choose the authorisation method (password or your static IP from the "Server" tab) → specify which header field the presentation number is taken from → buy extra outgoing channels for the number of simultaneous calls.

Pitfalls ⚠️ A SIP account has one outgoing channel by default ("Dodatkowe kanały wychodzące" is a separate service), while incoming calls are not limited. The call rate limit is 5 attempts per second: in a mass campaign you will hit it before you run out of channels. The presentation number must be in the correct format (Polish — 9 digits, foreign — E.164 without the "+"), otherwise the call goes out with no number at all or with a random number of the account.

The platform's codecs are G.722, G.711 u-law, G.711 a-law, iLBC and GSM: our whole set passes. Source: IP addresses, ports and codecs, Asterisk with the SIP trunk service — 09.09.2026.

ACTIO#

A Poznań operator with its own network (the SYNTELL S.A. brand), the only one in the country with public per-channel pricing: a landline number costs 4 zł net per month with the first channel included, up to 20 channels — 60 zł with no commitment (55 zł on a 12-month contract, 50 zł on 24), calls from 0.03 zł net per minute. It also sells a mobile number without a SIM card ("SIP Trunk Mobile") and names three ways to connect: registration, IP authorisation and SIP URI.

What to enter in the admin panel

Field Value
SIP host sip.actio.pl
Port 5060
Transport UDP
Registration REGISTER (for the IP variant clear the checkbox and give the operator the static IP of your PBX)
Login the number in the 48 + 9 digits format, for example 48611234567
Password the SIP account password from the ACTIO panel

What to set up at the provider: order the trunk and the number of channels → choose or port the numbers → take the SIP account details from the panel → for the IP variant tell them the address of the PBX.

Pitfalls ⚠️ The login is the number itself with the 48 prefix: enter 9 digits and there will be no registration. And there is a single channel threshold: 5 and 10 simultaneous calls are billed as 20, so a small venue is better off staying on the channel included in the price of the number — but then a second parallel call will not go through. Source: Asterisk guide (PJSIP), Asterisk guide (chan_sip), the SIP Trunk service and price list — 09.09.2026.

Spikon#

An operator with its own "Konta i numery" panel that publishes a complete ready-made Asterisk configuration — codecs and DTMF mode included. Several numbers are attached to one trunk, and an incoming call arrives with a 9-digit number. There is no public price list; the price is quoted on request.

What to enter in the admin panel

Field Value
SIP host sip.spikon.pl
Port 5060
Transport UDP
Registration REGISTER
Login "Login SIP" — numeric, from the panel
Password "hasło do konta SIP", separate from the panel password

What to set up at the provider: order the SIP Trunk and the number of channels → attach the required numbers to the trunk → take the account details from Konta i numery → Konta telefoniczne → Dane konfiguracyjne konta → set the presentation number for outgoing calls.

Pitfalls ⚠️ Their configuration template lists G.729 first among the codecs, and our PBX does not speak it. Negotiation normally falls back to a-law, but if the account is set to "G.729 only" there will be no audio — ask them to enable G.711 ("Network and compatibility"). FCN (FreecoNet)#

A Gdańsk operator, the oldest mass-market brand of Polish internet telephony. The account is created online as prepaid, followed by verification. The FCN card is already in the catalogue when adding a provider: the server address and the mode are filled in automatically, and only the login and password are left for you.

What to enter in the admin panel

Field Value
SIP host sip.fcn.pl (equivalent to sip.freeconet.pl)
Port 5060
Transport UDP
Registration REGISTER
Login the FCN account name
Password the "hasło VoIP" — not the panel password

What to set up at the provider: create the account and pass verification → buy or port a landline number → make sure the number is routed to the SIP account → if you have several numbers and need to tell them apart in routing, ask for DID delivery.

Pitfalls ⚠️ Incoming calls do not come from the trunk address but from other nodes of their platform (node00node09.freeconet.pl): if registration is up but incoming calls do not arrive, ask support which addresses the calls to your account come from. In the basic setup an incoming call carries the login rather than the number — the call is accepted, but the line cannot be told apart by number (they document number-based handling as a separate, more complex configuration). Two passwords (panel and VoIP) and G.729 as the preferred codec in their templates are the same story as at their neighbours: ask for G.711 when connecting. PLFON (Peoplefone Polska)#

The Polish arm of the international peoplefone group: SIP trunks, Polish and international numbering, number rotation for call centres. Subscriptions start at 17.40 zł net per month; the price of the trunk itself is not disclosed publicly.

What to enter in the admin panel

Field Value
SIP host sip.plfon.pl
Port 5060
Transport UDP
Registration REGISTER
Login the platform login (10048 + mobile number)
Password the account password from the panel

What to set up at the provider: contract and subscription → numbers (Polish landline, mobile, international) → route the numbers to the trunk → check whether the SIP account has a separate password or the panel password is used.

Pitfalls ⚠️ You cannot present someone else's number on outgoing calls here at all — the operator passes only the subscriber's own numbers, which is how it implements the anti-spoofing law. It also does not support SIP-level call forwarding (302 Redirect, Diversion, History-Info): a call transferred outside through this trunk will go out with your number, not with the number of the original caller. The trunk works over UDP only, without TLS — normal for our PBX.

According to measurements by the PBX vendor innovaphone (test report updated on 14.05.2024) the trunk negotiates G.711 a-law, G.711 u-law, G.722, G.729 and OPUS, and DTMF over RFC 2833 works. Source: PLFON FAQ, innovaphone test report — 09.09.2026.

ipfon#

One of the oldest Polish VoIP operators: prepaid, online sign-up, a free landline number on registration and numbering from all 49 zones — convenient when the venue needs a number of a particular city. The platform's preferred codec is G.711 a-law, exactly ours.

What to enter in the admin panel

Field Value
SIP host sip.ipfon.pl
Port 5060 unless the operator names another one (its FAQ does not state the port)
Transport UDP
Registration REGISTER
Login the SIP account name (for example ipfon003)
Password the SIP account password

What to set up at the provider: register the account and pick a number of the required zone → top up the balance → take the account details from the ipfon24 panel (the "Instrukcja Konfiguracji" section) → unblock premium destinations if you need them.

Pitfalls ⚠️ ipfon has no separate "SIP trunk" product — it is an ordinary SIP account, so ask separately about the number of simultaneous calls and about telling numbers apart. In the SIP host field enter the name sip.ipfon.pl rather than the bare IP address printed next to it in the FAQ: if the address changes, a trunk with a hard-coded IP dies silently. Calls to the premium destinations 0700/0300/0400 are blocked by default and are unblocked in the panel. Source: ipfon FAQ — 09.09.2026.

HaloNet#

A VoIP operator and MVNO. A separate "SIP Trunk" product is no longer in its offer (in a market review dated 31.07.2026 the service page stopped opening), but an ordinary VoIP account works with a third-party Asterisk and is described in an official guide. An incoming call arrives with the number in the 48 + 9 digits format.

What to enter in the admin panel

Field Value
SIP host sip.halonet.pl
Port 5060
Transport UDP
Registration REGISTER
Login "KONTO" — the account name
Password the account password

What to set up at the provider: confirm with support that the VoIP account for an external PBX is still sold → buy or port the numbers → find out how many simultaneous calls the account allows.

Pitfalls ⚠️ In the HaloNet guide the presentation number is carried in an additional header (RPID), while our PBX puts it into the ordinary From field. If the operator reads the number from RPID only, your number may not be shown on outgoing calls — check it on the very first outbound call and write to support, "Outgoing calls and Show as". The codecs in their configuration are a-law and u-law, that is ours. Source: Asterisk configuration at HaloNet (PDF) — 09.09.2026.

Contract-only providers#

These operators do have a SIP trunk, but they publish neither the server address, nor the ports, nor the mode — everything is issued after a contract. There can be no "what to enter" table here: ask the manager for the parameters using the list from "What to ask the provider" and put them into the same form as for the others.

  • Netia — the second largest alternative operator, the IntegralNet platform, a trunk for medium and large business. It is known that the mode is registration and that the subscriber is given four values: the registration server address, a username of the form NGxxxxxxxx, a password and an identifier of the form <main number>@<client>.integralnet.pl. Our form has two fields (host and login), so ask in advance whether this identifier is mandatory for outgoing calls and how it should be passed.
  • Platan — a Sopot manufacturer of office PBXs that is also an operator; packages of 3, 10, 20 and 30 channels with a public price list. After the contract exactly three values are issued: the login, the "domena (proxy)" — which is the SIP host — and the "hasło SIP". Numbers are configured with the 48 prefix.
  • EasyCall.pl — a turnkey SIP trunk with an SLA; the basic package contains either 5 or 10 channels depending on the language version of their site, so get the number of channels and the price in writing. Telestrada — an operator for hotlines and call centres; Asterisk is named directly among the systems tested with their trunk, and numbers from different Polish and foreign zones live on one trunk. Datera (the same owner as FCN) — "SIP Trunk BIZ" for 10/20/30 channels, several times more expensive than FCN: it makes sense if you need call-centre features and an API.
  • Orange Polska — connecting your own PBX comes as part of the "Biznesowa Telefonia IP" service for large companies: two trunks per site for redundancy, a tie to the operator's own access line, connection as a project. For a single venue the product is excessive; most likely it will be the IP mode — in that case take the static address of the PBX from the "Server" tab in advance.

International providers with Polish numbers#

Polish numbers are sold by DIDWW, Telnyx, Twilio, Plivo, Infobip, Sinch, Bandwidth and Zadarma. This is the default path if the company is registered outside Poland: local operators sign the contract with a Polish entity, while international ones accept an address in the client's country of registration wherever the regulator does not require a local one.

  • Documents will be requested anyway. Poland is on the country-specific regulatory requirement lists of Twilio and Telnyx: for a landline +48 they usually ask for proof of address and of business registration. The exact set depends on the number type — check it in the provider's portal when ordering.
  • The modes differ. Telnyx and DIDWW offer both registration and a static IP endpoint; Twilio Elastic SIP Trunking works by IP only, without registration, so the static address of your PBX will be needed; Zadarma uses registration. The Zadarma, Telnyx and Twilio cards are already in the catalogue when adding a provider: the server address and the mode are filled in automatically.

Number porting#

  • Both landline and mobile numbers can be ported. The application is filed with the new operator — the one you are moving to. According to the description of the procedure the operator reviews the application for about 7 days, and the switch itself happens no later than one working day after the agreed date; check the currently applicable deadlines with the operator when filing.
  • Porting is used as bait: ACTIO gives 3 months with no subscription fee for a ported number, PLFON ports for free (application to przenoszenie@plfon.pl), and FCN has a dedicated section for it in the account. Moving the venue within the same zone, however, is not a port to another operator but a transfer of the service to a new address: a separate procedure that takes about 21 days.
  • A prepaid number is registered to the person who signed up (FCN, ipfon, SuperVoIP). If the owner changes or the employee leaves, the number goes with them — register it to the legal entity from the start.
  • Emergency calling is not lost when porting, but the operator is responsible for the correct caller address: after a move, tell them the new physical address of the venue.

Rules and documents#

Operator registration, the ban on number spoofing, emergency calls, call recording
  • The venue needs no permits. The core law is Prawo komunikacji elektronicznej, applied since 10.11.2024. There is no VoIP licence in Poland; an operator must be entered into the Rejestr przedsiębiorców telekomunikacyjnych (RPT) kept by the President of UKE — the register is public, so you can verify your seller in it. Numbering resources are allocated to operators by the same regulator in individual decisions.
  • CallerID spoofing is prohibited by law. The act on combating abuse in electronic communication has been in force since 25.09.2023: it names spoofing among four forms of abuse and obliges operators to block or hide a forged calling number, with fines from the regulator for non-compliance. The practical conclusion: in the outgoing rule "Show as" put only the numbers of your own contract — someone else's number will be stripped by the operator anyway.
  • Emergency numbers are three digits (112, 997, 998, 999). The general outgoing rule "everything else goes out" does not pass short numbers, so create a separate pattern rule on the "Outgoing" tab for calls to emergency services.
  • The contract is with a Polish entity. Operators sign it with a legal or natural person holding Polish identifiers (NIP/KRS). At prepaid operators the contract is effectively concluded by accepting the terms and topping up the balance, but the number is then registered to whoever signed up.
  • Call recording. There is no separate "telephony" permit: the general GDPR rules apply (a lawful basis for processing and informing the other party) as well as the secrecy of communication. The voice notice about recording is enabled in the location settings; agree the exact wording with your lawyer.

If it does not work#

  1. "No registration with the provider" while the login and password look correct. Most likely the control-panel password was entered: FCN needs the "hasło VoIP", SuperVoIP the "hasło SIP", Spikon the "hasło do konta SIP", and they are changed in the panel with a separate button. A special case is ACTIO: there the login is the number in the 48 + 9 digits format, not 9 digits and not a name.
  2. A second simultaneous outbound call drops. The outgoing channels have run out: SuperVoIP gives one by default, and at ACTIO one is included in the price of the number. Buy extra channels from the operator.
  3. The call connects but there is silence. The operator has negotiated G.729 only, while our PBX speaks G.711 and G.722. That risk is real at FCN and Spikon, where G.729 comes first in their own templates: ask support to enable G.711 on your account.
  4. FCN: registration is up but there are no incoming calls. Their incoming calls come not from the trunk address but from other nodes of the platform. Ask support which addresses the calls to your account come from and whether number delivery is enabled.
  5. Calls to two different numbers land on the same line. The last seven digits of Polish numbers do not contain the zone code, so numbers of different cities can share the same tail. Separate such lines manually or take numbers from one zone.
  6. A call to 112 does not go out. Emergency numbers are shorter than the general outgoing rule accepts: an explicit pattern rule for three-digit numbers is needed.

Causes that do not depend on the country are in "If calls do not go through"; the SIP trace in the trunk menu is described there too. Checking the address and the port — "Test the connection".

FAQ#

Can I get a Polish number if the company is registered outside Poland?#

At a local operator — hardly: the contract is signed with a Polish entity, and none of the operators we checked describes a public procedure for foreign companies. The practical path is an international provider with +48 numbers (DIDWW, Telnyx, Twilio, Zadarma); it will ask for documents on a landline number as well, but it accepts an address at the company's place of registration.

Which operator should I choose if nothing is connected yet?#

SuperVoIP or ACTIO. Both publish their parameters and have an Asterisk guide, and both are set up without a corporate project. SuperVoIP wins on transparency and supports IP authorisation, ACTIO on public per-channel pricing and mobile numbers without a SIM card.

How many channels does a venue need?#

A channel is one simultaneous call. A restaurant usually needs 2–3 outgoing ones: one is busy with a call to a guest, the second with a courier or a supplier. Incoming calls are not limited at most Polish operators, whereas outgoing ones are counted strictly — ask for their number before signing.

Can I show a different number on outgoing calls?#

Only another number of your own, attached to the contract. Spoofing someone else's number has been prohibited by law in Poland since 2023, and operators strip it technically: SuperVoIP will send the call with no presentation at all if the number format is wrong, and PLFON passes exclusively the subscriber's own numbers.

Do I need a separate "SIP Trunk" product or is an ordinary SIP account enough?#

For a single number an ordinary account is almost always enough — that is how ipfon and HaloNet work, and SuperVoIP says the same explicitly. A separate trunk is needed when there are several numbers that must be told apart in routing, or when you need more than one channel.
