Voice Copilot — Command Reference

What it is#

The Voice Copilot is an AI assistant built into the Meni control panel. It understands commands in any language, recognizes dish names even with typos, and performs actions for you — from updating prices to optimizing your menu structure.

Copilot documentation sections

  • Basic reference (you are here) — targeted commands for menu, orders, settings, translations, devices
  • Bulk and advanced operations — bulk price and stop-list updates, tags and allergens, device codes, shifts and staff (who is working today, late arrivals, time off, scheduling shifts), order adjustments
  • Promotions, schedules, and photos — promotions and happy hours, menu schedules, combos, menu photo and invoice recognition
  • Analytics and smart insights — voice-driven statistics, conversation context, history and rollbacks, proactive AI suggestions

How it works#

  1. Open the assistant: on mobile — tap the "AI" button in the bottom navigation bar; on desktop — click the "AI Assistant" badge in the bottom-right corner (if unused for a while, the label collapses into a circle with a sparkle icon — hover over it). Then press and hold the recording button
  2. Speak your command in any language — or type it out if the microphone is unavailable
  3. The copilot recognizes the intent, finds the required dish/category, and executes the action
  4. For mutating actions — it asks for confirmation before applying changes

Key features#

  • Any language — speak in Russian, English, Georgian, Turkish, or any other language; the copilot responds in your panel's interface language
  • Overlay on top of the current screen — the assistant opens as an overlay and knows which section you are in; no need to leave the page
  • Fuzzy search — finds dishes even if you pronounce the name approximately
  • Multi-location — if you manage multiple venues, the copilot will ask which one to apply the command to
  • Conversation context — remembers previous commands within the current session

About "any language" in the Russian deployment. For brands running in the Russian cloud (cenaly.ru), speech recognition is powered by Yandex SpeechKit, which supports a restricted list of languages: Russian, English, German, Spanish, Finnish, French, Hebrew, Italian, Kazakh, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese (European and Brazilian are separate models), Swedish, Turkish, and Uzbek. Georgian, Armenian, Azerbaijani, Albanian, and Arabic are not supported: if the panel is opened in one of these languages, the copilot will honestly inform you that it cannot recognize speech in that language and ask you to type the command. Text input and assistant responses work across all interface languages.

Device types#

Type Purpose

Commands: Telephony (own PBX)#

Command What it does Examples
Check connection Traces the incoming call chain and identifies the first broken link "What's wrong with the phones?", "Why aren't calls coming through?"
Extension list Shows who is on which extension "What is Nino's extension?", "Show extensions"
Create extension Sets up an internal extension for an employee "Create an extension for Nino", "Extension 105 for Givi"
Call recording Enables and disables call recording "Turn on call recording", "Turn off recording"

The first two commands are read-only and execute immediately; creating an extension and toggling recording require confirmation.

Passwords are never spoken aloud. The copilot displays the credentials of a new extension on screen, while only speaking the extension number and name aloud: reciting the password would expose it to anyone near the microphone. Outbound voice calls cannot be placed by voice commands, and revoking extensions, deleting trunks, and configuring routes must be done manually. If multiple employees match the name, the copilot will ask for clarification rather than guessing.

Commands: Shift and POS#

Command What it does Examples
Open shift Opens a POS shift with a starting cash amount "Open shift", "Open shift, starting cash 200"
Close shift Closes the shift with counted cash "Close shift", "Close shift, 4300 in the drawer"
Shift summary Quick summary of the current shift "Shift summary", "How is the shift going?"
Cash movements Pay in, pay out, cash collection "Add 500 to POS", "Withdraw 1000"
POS status Current amount in the cash drawer "How much is in the POS?"
X and Z reports Fiscal POS reports "Run X-report", "Z-report"
Open drawer Opens the cash drawer "Open drawer"

Commands: Shift Tasks#

Command What it does Examples
Create task Creates a task on the shift task board "Create task: wipe the display case"
Take task Assigns the task to yourself to work on "I'll take the display case task"
Complete task Marks as completed "Display case task is done"
Task list What is open right now "What tasks are open?"
What to do now Names one next task personally for you, rather than the entire list "What should I do now?", "Where should I start?"
Quick task Picks a task that fits within the specified time (defaults to 15 minutes if unspecified) "Give me something for 15 minutes", "Is there anything quick?"
Shift summary Checklist progress, overdue items, urgent tasks without an assignee, who is busiest "How are things going on the shift?", "Summary"

The copilot reads the shift summary only to the owner and manager — employees see their own plan, not the overall picture.

Commands: Integrations and Dashboard View#

Command What it does Examples
Connect integration Opens the same connection modal as the button in the dashboard (the copilot does not touch tokens) "Connect Wolt", "Connect Google Ads"
Disconnect integration Unlinks the service — with confirmation "Disconnect Glovo"
Integration settings Opens settings for a specific service "Open Wolt settings"
Telegram shop Connect, rename, disconnect, check status "Connect Telegram shop", "Telegram shop status"
Hide/restore section Hides or restores a sidebar menu item, resets its layout "Remove the Courier section from the menu", "Restore inventory", "Reset menu"
Dish photo history Shows previous image versions and restores the selected one "Show photo history for khachapuri", "Restore previous photo"

Commands: Support#

Command What it does Examples
Report an issue Sends a bug report to the developers "The price didn't update", "The button isn't working"

Use this command when something is clearly not working as it should. Copilot will gather context and send a report to the development team.

Questions about the POS and equipment#

The assistant doesn't just execute commands, it also answers questions — including those about your specific equipment. When opened from the "POS" section, it sees what is connected to this workstation: the model and serial number of the fiscal printer, whether the shift is open, if there is paper, when the last Z-report was run, as well as the receipt printer, scanner, scale, and payment terminal.

If a SIP phone is linked to the workstation, the assistant knows its make and model (the phone identifies itself to our PBX upon registration) and provides answers regarding its menu, web interface, and default factory passwords.

Therefore, to questions like "the POS is showing an unfamiliar error", "how to run a Z-report", or "the printer is printing gibberish", the answer will be tailored to your specific model — referencing its exact buttons, modes, and codes, rather than generic advice like "go to settings". You can ask without specifying the model: the assistant already knows it.

You can also ask about equipment you don't have yet — for example, when deciding what to buy: the assistant answers based on the model directory and the common hardware used for issuing receipts in your country.

Action Confirmation#

Commands are divided into two types:

Without confirmation (instant)#

Navigation and opening (orders, menu item card, settings), as well as safe additions: adding a menu item to an order, marking a dish as ready.

With confirmation#

All actions that modify data. Copilot shows exactly what will be changed and waits for confirmation.

Confirmation Level When
Voice "Yes" Standard changes (price, stop-list, description)
On-screen Critical actions (deletion, bulk changes)

The copilot opens working sections via voice commands ("open inventory", "show finance", "open dining area layout"):

  • Inventory — stock balances, incoming stock, suppliers, recipes, semi-finished products
  • Dining Area Layout — tables, reservations, waiters
  • Staff — roles, access, shifts
  • Finance — revenue, reports, sales statistics
  • POS and Kitchen (KDS)
  • Courier — in-house delivery
  • Marketplace, Websites, Devices, Labels, Flyers, Integrations (Wolt/Glovo)

The copilot can also voice some figures without navigating away: shift summaries, POS register status, a quick sales report for a period, or a list of open tasks. And with a command like "plot a daily revenue chart for the month", it will build a chart on the dashboard. For everything else, it opens the section where the numbers are already on the screen.

Action links in responses. When a response involves a specific location in the panel, the copilot includes a navigation button in the text: it opens the required section, the relevant tab, or directly the settings window being discussed. The copilot can also guide you to settings hidden in modal windows from any page — not just the one you are currently on.

Questions about a specific block. Next to the headers of complex settings, there is a small ✨ button: it opens the copilot directly with the context of that specific block — explaining what the setting does, its implications, and its name. The button is available across more than a hundred panel blocks: calls, extension store, commerce, documents, telephony, counterparties, couriers and delivery network, pickup points, corporate accounts, customer segments, and others.

Features not yet covered by the copilot#

The copilot will politely let you know that this topic is not yet supported via voice if you ask about:

  • loyalty programs and bonus points;
  • accounting, taxes, and data exchange with 1С;
  • the guest database and CRM — the "Customers" section itself is available and functional in the dashboard, but it is managed manually rather than by voice.
