Promo Display
Promo Display is digital signage for your venue: a slideshow featuring dishes, promotions, and menus runs on any TV or tablet directly in the browser. You edit content in the admin panel, and changes appear on the screen automatically — no need to restart anything.
Open: Admin Panel → Advertising → Promo Display.
Slide Types#
Each screen is a playlist of slides. Three types are available:
| Type | What it displays |
|---|---|
| Dish | Large photo, name, price, description, and badges (new, bestseller, etc.); four layout templates — full screen, text on the left or right, centered card |
| Promo | Custom heading and text over your image, video, or solid color; optionally — a QR code with a caption in the corner of the slide |
| Menu Board | List of dishes with prices in a cafe menu style, in one, two, or three columns |
"Dish" slides take photos and data directly from your menu — no need to upload them again. Photos can be cropped (focal point, zoom), set to a slow motion "pan and zoom" effect, or you can cut out the dish from the background and place it on a colored backdrop — AI performs the cutout in a single click.
Any slide has its own display schedule: days of the week and hours. This way, breakfast items run in the morning and bar cocktails in the evening, within the exact same playlist.
Creating a Monitor and Playlist#
- In the Promo Monitor section, select a location — the list of monitors for this location will open.
- Click "Add Monitor" and give it a name (for example, "Dining area" or "Showcase").
- The "Open Editor" button will open the fullscreen editor.
- In the left column, manage slides: add, delete, and reorder them by dragging.
- The central column is the live preview: what you see here is exactly what will be shown on the TV.
- The right column is the inspector of the selected slide: fill in the text, select a dish, upload an image or video for the promo.
Changes are saved automatically as you edit.
Displaying on a TV or Tablet#
Each monitor has a unique public address like:
https://{your-domain}/?signage={id}
The "Copy Link" button in the editor (or on the monitor list page) will copy this address to the clipboard. A QR code is also available for easy scanning.
How to start the display:
- Open a browser on your TV, tablet, or any device with a screen.
- Go to the copied link.
- Click "Fullscreen" (the
F11key in most browsers) — the slideshow will start and run in a loop.
No need to install a special app — just a browser.
Offline Operation and Auto-Update#
- After the initial load, the display works offline: slides, images, and videos are cached in the browser.
- When the connection is restored, the screen automatically picks up changes to the playlist — no manual refresh is needed. By default, the display checks for updates once a minute, and the interval is customizable.
Display Settings#
The ⚙ button in the editor opens the display settings:
- Slide duration — how many seconds each slide is shown by default. A different duration can be set for an individual slide in its inspector.
- Aspect ratio — 16:9 for landscape TV, 9:16 for portrait screen/stand, as well as 4:3, 3:4, 1:1, and 21:9.
- Image fit — "Fill" (crops to fit screen edges) or "Fit" (displays entirely with margins/letterboxing).
- Slide transition — smooth fade, slide, or no animation.
- Style — ready-made design presets (Classic, Luxe, Neon, Bold, and others). Accent color and header font are configured separately.
- Display language — one language per screen, selected from the enabled account languages: dish names and captions are displayed in it.
- Show prices — a global price toggle for the entire display (convenient for showcases without price tags).
- Random order — slides are shuffled each time the playlist loads.
- Ticker — a text line at the bottom of each slide: Wi-Fi password, promotion, announcement.
- Update check frequency — every 60 seconds by default (can be set from 15 seconds to an hour).
Each display can be temporarily turned off — the screen stops showing the playlist while the settings are preserved.
Multiple monitors for one location#
You can create multiple monitors with different playlists for a single location — for example, one for the main dining area, another for the bar counter. Each monitor gets its own link.
The monitor shows the truth of the menu#
The TV used to be the one screen that knew nothing about the stop list or the schedule: during happy hour it showed one price while the till rang up another, and a dish removed after breakfast kept being advertised.
Now the player computes availability and price with exactly the same rules as the till, the storefront, the kiosk and the aggregators:
- the "86" stop list — a dish pulled by the kitchen disappears from its slide; on a menu-board line the price is replaced by a "Sold out" badge in the monitor's language;
- dish and menu schedules — breakfast is not shown in the evening;
- the happy-hour price — the screen shows the price the till will actually charge.
All of it is recomputed against the location's wall clock roughly once a minute, so happy hour starts and ends on screen by itself, without restarting the TV. The menu facts themselves are re-read just as regularly — an "86" set by the kitchen reaches the screen within a minute rather than at the next power cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions#
Do I need special hardware or a set-top box?#
No. Any Smart TV with a browser, tablet, laptop, or regular computer with a monitor will work. Just open the link in a browser and switch to full-screen mode.
What happens if the internet goes down in the dining area?#
The screen continues looping slides from the cache — guests won't notice a thing. As soon as the connection is restored, content will update in the background.
Can I play videos in slides?#
Yes. In a promo slide, you can upload a video instead of an image (MP4 and other popular formats). The video plays muted on a loop.
How often does on-screen content update after saving?#
Usually within a minute — the screen automatically checks for a new version in the background (the interval is configured in the screen settings, starting from 15 seconds). You can force an update by refreshing the page on the device.
Does the number of screens affect the pricing plan?#
The number of screens is unlimited and not billed separately, but the "Promo Screens" feature itself is included in the Premium plan and above — the extension card and terms are visible in the App Store and the Subscription section.
