Email campaigns
Campaigns are emails to your subscribers: a seasonal menu, a promotion, reopening after a refurbishment, a weekend promo code. The subscriber list is collected by the storefront itself and stored in your account.
Where: Website → “Configure site” → Store Studio → the “Campaigns” tab (admin.cenaly.ru).
Building the email#
A campaign has an internal name (only you see it), a subject and a preheader — the short line email clients show next to the subject.
The email itself is built from blocks, top to bottom:
| Block | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Heading | A large accent line |
| Text | A paragraph; **bold** and [label](https://…) links are supported |
| Image | With alt text and, optionally, a link |
| Button | A call to action — “See the menu”, “Order now” |
| Promo code | A code with a note |
| Divider | A line between parts |
An incomplete block is flagged and left out of the email.
The email is multi-language: language tabs sit at the top of the editor, each subscriber receives their own language, and the first tab acts as the fallback for the rest.
The AI draft#
Instead of a blank page you can describe the task in one line — “tell them about the new autumn menu and invite them to try the seasonal soup” — and the AI assembles a draft: subject, block copy and button. You edit it from there.
Choosing the audience#
The audience is defined by filters:
- subscriber languages (empty means all; subscribers with an unknown language do not pass a language filter);
- sign-up source: the storefront form or popups and forms;
- purchases: any / purchased / never purchased / lapsed (with a threshold in days);
- minimum number of orders.
The recipient count is calculated live, before sending. Unsubscribers are always excluded. If the audience is empty or exceeds the single-send limit, you are warned before pressing “Send”.
Purchases are counted from completed orders of this location; guests who ordered without an email are not counted.
Preview and test send#
- Preview shows exactly the email a subscriber will receive; tracking is disabled there, so previewing does not skew statistics.
- Test email can be sent to any address of yours (up to 5 per hour) and does not affect campaign statistics either.
Sending is irreversible: the confirmation shows the exact recipient count, and a campaign cannot be recalled once started. A sent email can no longer be edited — create a new campaign for a repeat.
What you see after sending#
In the campaign list and card: recipients, opens, clicks and unsubscribes. Opens and clicks arrive gradually as people read the email — the card refreshes itself.
Where subscribers come from#
- the subscription form on the storefront;
- popups and forms with email capture;
- guests who left an email at checkout and agreed to receive campaigns.
The subscriber base opens from a link in the same tab. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and an unsubscriber never receives another campaign.

FAQ#
Do I need my own mail server? No, sending goes through our infrastructure.
Can I email only people who have not ordered in a while? Yes — the “lapsed” filter with a threshold in days. It applies to former customers only.
What happens with unsubscribers? They are excluded from every audience automatically; there is nothing to track manually.
