EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT (عقد عمل) — PAM FORMAT
Employer name (Commercial Registration No. Employer Commercial Registration (CR) number), the "Employer", and Employee name (Nationality: Employee nationality; Civil ID/Passport No. Employee Civil ID / passport number), the "Employee", agree on the following terms, to be mirrored on the official Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) contract form.
1. WRITTEN FORM AND PAM REGISTRATION 1.1. Under the Private Sector Labor Law No. 6 of 2010, the employment contract must be in WRITING, in ARABIC, in THREE (3) copies (one for each party and one filed with PAM, under the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor — MOSAL); a translation into the Employee's language may be attached, but the Arabic text prevails in any dispute. 1.2. PAM registers the contract through its e-portal (e-portal.manpower.gov.kw / Ashal) as a condition of issuing the work permit (Article 18, private sector); without PAM registration the contract cannot support a work permit. Without a written contract at all, the Employee may prove their rights by any means — the risk sits with the Employer. 1.3. This document is supporting HR paperwork and does NOT replace the official PAM contract form entered into the PAM e-portal.
2. POSITION AND TERM 2.1. Position: Position. 2.2. Contract type: Contract type. 2.3. Contract end date (if fixed-term): Contract end date (if fixed-term). 2.4. Start date: Start date. 2.5. Workplace: Workplace.
3. PROBATION 3.1. Probationary period: Probationary period (working days) working days, not to exceed 100 working days, and only ONCE with a given employer. Either party may end the contract during probation without notice; the Employer must still pay indemnity for the period actually worked.
4. COMPENSATION AND HOURS 4.1. Basic monthly salary: Basic monthly salary (KWD) — must not be below the private-sector minimum wage of KWD 75 per month. Indemnity and allowances are calculated from this figure plus any regular allowances — keep the salary composition documented. 4.2. Working hours: Working hours — standard 48 hours/week, 8 hours/day; reduced to 36 hours/week during Ramadan (Article 64). 4.3. Salary is paid in Kuwaiti Dinar (KWD) by transfer to the Employee's account at a local bank, not later than 7 days after the end of the pay period; a copy of the payroll sheet is submitted to MOSAL/PAM. Cash payment is not permitted.
5. REGISTRATION STATUS 5.1. PAM registration status: PAM registration status.
