6. SICKNESS ABSENCE AND SICK PAY 6.1. Sickness absence & sick pay terms 6.2. ⚠️ From 6 April 2026, under the Employment Rights Act 2025, Statutory Sick Pay becomes payable from the first day of sickness absence, without a lower earnings threshold — review this clause against the rules in force on the date of issue.

7. PROBATION AND NOTICE PERIODS 7.1. Probationary period & notice periods 7.2. Statutory minimum notice periods apply in any event (at least one week after one month's service, rising with length of service for the Employer's notice; at least one week for the Employee's notice after one month's service).

8. OTHER BENEFITS AND TRAINING 8.1. Other benefits & training entitlement 8.2. Any training that the Employer requires you to complete is paid for by the Employer and counts as working time. Training that you choose to undertake yourself is not covered by this paragraph unless agreed in writing.

9. PENSIONS 9.1. The Employer operates a qualifying workplace pension scheme and will automatically enrol you if you meet the statutory age and earnings criteria. You may opt out after enrolment and will be re-enrolled periodically, as required by law. Full scheme details are provided separately.

10. DISCIPLINARY AND GRIEVANCE PROCEDURES 10.1. The procedure that applies to disciplinary matters and grievances is set out in: Disciplinary & grievance procedure reference. That procedure is not part of this statement and does not form part of your contract of employment, but you have a statutory right to be told where to find it.
